  • Verbal Communication Skills (improving confidence and recognising non verbal messages)
  • Telephone Techniques: Supplying information, taking accurate messages and dealing with incoming calls
  • Telephone Equipment: central systems, routing & holding calls, dealing with faulty equipment
  • Types of Written Communication: Business Letters; Memos & E-mail; Using professional language; Correct Spelling & Grammar
  • Filing Systems: personal, departmental, archived & employee filesFiling Procedures: centralised and decentralised filing; access and security; updating, cross-referencing, opening and retrieving information
  • Classification index systems: various forms of manual filing; identify and use different indexing systems
  • Handling and dealing with various types of Information: employee records, financial information, searching for relevant information, organise and analyse information into reports
  • Designing documents for office use: professional presentation, house style
